Wondering how to celebrate the 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of the Iraq invasion?

The Bring Em Home Now! concert [Buy Tickets] scheduled for March 20th at the Hammerstein Ballroon has a fantastic lineup of musicians including Fischerspooner, Bright Eyes, Michael Stipe, Rufus Wainwright, Devendra Banhart, Steve Earle, and Peaches. Following is an amalgamation of the artists' strong anti-war tracks with their lyrics to wet your tongue for the concert.

Devendra Banhart - Heard Somebody Say [video via 'boards]

"
It's simple, we don't want to kill."

Bright Eyes - When The President Talks to God [video via One Good Move]

"
When the president talks to God / Are the conversations brief or long? / Does he ask to rape our women's' rights / And send poor farm kids off to die? / Does God suggest an oil hike / When the president talks to God?"

Steve Earle - Rich Man's War (mp3)

Steve Earle - The Revolution Starts Now (mp3)

"And the people gathered ‘round / They all brought what they could bring / And nobody went without / And I learned a song to sing / The revolution starts now"

DJ Earworm [mashup including Fischerspooner's We Need A War] - We Need a Filthy War (mp3)

"If we think we need a war, we need a war."

Michael Stipe is selling his war protest songs through the In The Sun Foundation. Support him and buy the tracks.

I also can't publish this post without noting that both Matthew Barney and David LaChappelle are included on the list of the concert's hosts (more here). Wow.
